Sport has been my life-long passion, having played rugby, football and cricket to a good standard and golf to a very average one. Gradually, I was able to make the transition to the production side of things and decided to leave my lecturing job at the start of 2000 to work full-time as a freelancer in television. I started reporting on rugby and football for Wales on Saturday and Rugby Special Wales. I then qualified to lecture in further education and was involved in the early years of media education, establishing and running various successful media courses at a local further education college (Jason Mohammad is an ex-student of mine!).Īfter several years experience of producing non-broadcast television, I started part-time in the sports department at BBC Wales in the season 1991-2, just as my playing days were coming to an end.

Appealing to a wide age range, this is another crowd pleaser." "Jenkins and Page find yet another inviting way to connect young human readers and listeners to creatures who share their world.
